I am excited to start the 2016-2017 school year. I can't wait to work with the students and help them achieve their goals. I will continue to work with the middle school students and this year I will also be working with students that have visual impairments. The Paraprofessional helping out in my classroom this year will be Ms. Kielsmeier. She will bring new, fun and exciting ideas to help the students reach their highest potential. This will be my fourth year at Grand Meadow Public Schools and am excited to continue to be a part of the Special Education Team. A little information about me is that, I was born and raised in Pipestone, Minnesota and learned at that time becoming an educator was what I truly wanted to become. I earned my Special Education degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead emphasizing in both specific learning disabilities and emotional behavioral disabilities. I spent one year as a special education teacher for Austin Public Schools before coming to Grand Meadows. I enjoy spending time outdoors participating in many different sports and activities.
