2017 State FFA Convention Results

Congratulations to the Grand Meadow FFA chapter for all 22 students attending  the Minnesota State FFA convention in making the awards stage as a top 5 finalist. The Grand Meadow FFA chapter competed in 6 events with 2 state champions, 2-placing 2nd, 1-4th and 1-5th. The success of the event was contributed in large part by the inspiration and personal guidance of the finest of chaperones. This year's chaperones included:  Jenn York, Carla Hilton, Todd Kraft, Jeff Olsen and Cory Greenwood. 

 

Chapter results included:

State Champion Individual in Soils-Matthew Koball

State Champion Soils team- Grand Meadow –Members:  Madison Kraft-3rd, Luke Pecinovsky 5th, and Matt Koball-High individual.

Runner-Up State champion in Farm Bureau Discussion Meet- Brittanie Winfield

Runner-Up State Champion Advanced Parliamentary Procedure- Breanna Winfield, Sydney Bacon, Masie Voigt, Jordyn Glynn,  Kaitlyn Hilton and Haley Jacobsen.

State Finalist in Chapter Conduct of Meetings(level 1 Parliamentary Procedure)- Ben Kraft-President, Dekota Steinkamp-Vice Pres., Secretary- Treyton Ottman, Treasurer- Josiah Johnson, Kameron Bacon-Reporter, Sentinel-Mason Geier and student advisor-Blake Ludemann.

Milk Quality /Dairy Products- 5th place team- Elizabeth Benson, Haley Jacobsen and Brenna Winfield.

Crops team- 4th Place team – Jacob Oehlke-9th individual, Rian Leichtnam, Justin Kassel and Caden Fruth -11th place individual.
