Pennies for Pages

February 13 - 28

In Memory of Mrs. Shirley Davis

The second grade will be sponsoring the Pennies for Pages campaign in memory of Mrs. Shirley Davis, a former Grand Meadow kindergarten/second grade teacher.

Students in grades PreK-6 grades are asked to collect money in each classroom. The classroom that collects the most money will earn a free trip to a local bowling alley for 2 hours of games or bowling.

Also, If PreK-6 grades collect over $1,000, Mr. Schwarz will dress up as a superhero for the afternoon of March 2nd, our Dr. Seuss Birthday/Read Across America celebration day!

Coins, bills, and checks are accepted.  All proceeds go toward new Accelerated Reader (AR) books in the school library.

Thank you, and please send in any coins or money by Tuesday, February 28, the last day of February.  On the morning of Feb. 28, the second graders will take the money to GM First Farmers & Merchants Bank to be counted.  The second graders will also have the opportunity to see how the bank adds up the coins so fast!

The amount raised will be announced at 1:30 PM on Thursday, March 2 at the Dr. Seuss/Read Across America celebration.
