Welcome! My name is Jodi Munson and I am so thrilled to be the new reading and language arts teacher for 5th, 6th, and 8th grade. This is my first year at Grand Meadow Schools and my 17th year of teaching. I have previously taught at Austin Public Schools for 16 years in numerous kindergarten, first, second, and fourth grade classrooms. I received my elementary education/kindergarten/early childhood degrees from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse in 2001. I then received my Master's of Reading and Literature from Walden University in 2004.
My husband Mike works for CHS and we have a 7th grade boy, Connor, and a 3rd grade girl, Claire, that attend school here in Grand Meadow. We also have a spoiled pug, who we love with all of our hearts, named Edgar Allen Pug. We live in the country near Rose Creek on an acreage.
I LOVE to read and our house proves it, as it is filled with books of all kinds!!!! I also love to shop, go for walks, organize, watch my kiddos play sports, and cuddle with Edgar.
It is with great enthusiasm that I look forward to this school year! Reading is my greatest passion and I can not wait to begin to instill that same love of reading into each of my students. This will be an exciting school year, not only for myself, but for each of my students as well!
Look for more information to come as the school year approaches!
