Greetings and Welcome to the Grand Meadow School!
My name is Matt Rosaaen! What an exciting time to be a Grand Meadow Superlark! This is my sixth year at Grand Meadow and I look forward to creating meaningful and authentic learning opportunities for ALL students. There is an incredible tradition of excellence within this school and we want to help continue to push that excellence forward. Our mission is to design and deliver relevant learning opportunities for all students which enable student growth and achievement. Our vision is that All students receive a quality education in a safe and welcoming environment that enables them to develop to their full potential to live meaningful and productive lives. It takes everyone to make this happen at a high level.
As the MS-HS principal, I am excited for the positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. It is my goal to give each student real world and authentic learning opportunities in an effort to help them be college and/or career ready. I hope to ensure a passion for education and continuing to have students committed to excellence in school and in the community.
It continues to be evident by the support and turnout at events how important the school relationship is to the community. My goal is to continue to strengthen the solid bond the people of Grand Meadow have with the school. An overarching philosophy of mine is to continue creating effective, productive citizens. Together, we can achieve this goal and I encourage you to stop in and visit the school if you have questions or ideas on how to help us promote this idea.
I have home in Grand Meadow! I enjoy living here and seeing all of the students and families "out and about" in my neighborhood and the town of Grand Meadow. I am also the Head Volleyball Coach and enjoy seeing everyone at events!
I have been in education for 18 years. I attended St. Mary's University in Winona where I received my K-6 Elementary Education degree with a 5-8 Middle School Mathematics Licensure. I taught at Kasson-Mantorville Public Schools for eleven years, teaching First Grade and 8th Grade Mathematics. While teaching in Kasson, I earned my K-12 Master's in Education degree from Winona State University. I later taught 2nd grade, and 6th grade along with classroom duties, I was the Teaching and Learning coach at Spring Grove Public Schools as well. I received my Educational Leadership/Principal Licensure in May of 2019 from Minnesota State University Mankato. I grew up on a small beef cattle and sheep farm in Spring Grove, MN. My family consists of two sisters: Kelly(Brady), Madelyn(11), and Braxton(7) who live in Stewartville; Teri(Luke), Trevor(6), Tucker(4), and Lexi(1) who live in Mabel. My mom and dad still live in Spring Grove, so I am able to go home and help farm when able. I enjoy spending as much time with family as possible. I am a huge MN sports fan and enjoy all things outdoors, especially enjoy spending time in Hayward, WI. I currently hold a Superintendent's License and because I love school so much, I look forward to going for my MBA.
I look forward to working with all of you during the 2024-2025 school year! Thank you for your support and Go Superlarks!
